Not updated for a while, so thought I’d kick start things again with a bit of an update on whats what. I’ve not been doing the MX photography for a bit as I did more hours than cash paid, so it didn’t make sense. I’ve visited the track a few times just to keep my hand in so to speak, but not for any commercial reason.
August however drew me into Newcastle’s Time Square to have a sneaky peek at the Urban Games, BMX, Skate and Trials bike all there to tempt my photography appetite. Got there nice and early, press brief out the way, pass in hand, I caught a few shots of the opening ceremony before sneaking off for a tasty lunch with Mr Chris Harrison (Grime and Glamour), Emily Cromarty (Emily Cromarty Photography) and a handful of others at the definitely recommended Stateside Diner on Pink Lane.
A good chat was followed by some fab sunshine and better riding/skating (pics Below). The exciting prospect of Urban Mix opening in North Shields in Sept and some awesome riding from the boys at 3Sixty bicycle stunt display team and I left with a memory card full of pics and a happy chappy. Sunday came about, little bit of drizzle, but it didn’t stop the 3sixty boys and everyone else putting on a show, even breaking a few world records while they were on.
A great event, well organised and well supported, if you see if cropping up in the future, its definitely worth a look…enjoy the photos. There’s more at http://www.facebook.com/carvephoto
